Install Control Panel for PublicPIM

 
This Panel pops up the first time you execute the application

System Requirements

1. HTTP Server (e.g.
http://www.your.website.com) which should have the following default subdirectory
              Linux Server:         public_html
              Windows Server:   httpdocs
               You must create a Subdirectory (suggestion: MyPublicPIM) inside the subdirectory for whichever Server you are using.
2. Server must have PHP extensions or Support
3. Server must have MySQL extensions or Support




4. Access to your version of PublicPIM for the first time by
URL in browser or hyperlink in your webpage to http://your.website.com/publicpim You will now see this screen:

5. Fill in the form:

Hostname - Your MySQL Hostname (usually localhost) this should be provided by your hosting administrator
Database - Your MySQL Database Name (you would have determine this when you created database using your Host’s MySQL manager
PHPadmin )
Username -  Username you set for Read/Write access to your database
Password -   Password you set for Read/Write access to your database

Drop existing tables - If you have a previous PublicPIM installation on the same database you can keep the existing tables or you can drop them by checking this.

Site Name - Your website's name (e.g. My Website’s Title or Name) Ours is OpenDB Users Group
Site Address - Your website's address (e.g.
www.your.website.com)

Live Site - The exact location of your application folder (
http://your.website.com/publicpim)

Admin Email - The website administrator's email (e.g.
admin@website.com) for registration notices and activation

Google Key - Enter the Google Map API key you obtained from Google.
